POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA COURSE IN THERMAL POWER PLANT TECHNOLOGY  (Covers the Mandatory requirements under Indian Electricity Act 2003)

ELIGIBILITY: Diploma / Degree or equivalent passed out candidate in Mechanical/ Electrical/Power Electronics/ Control & Instrumentation Engineering.

ABOUT THE COURSE: The main aim of the course is to develop a pool of technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment to the Indian Power Sector. Besides, the course one can enhance  the  knowledge  and  skills  of  the  engineers sponsored by the State Electricity Boards, Power Utilities etc. This is a modular course of one-year duration. Formal coaching is held at Regional Institute of CPDTI, Located at Chennai. The course profile covers the mandatory requirements under Indian Electricity Act 2003 which stipulates "No person shall be authorized to operate or undertake maintenance of any part or whole of generating station of capacity 100 MW and above together with the associated  sub-station unless he is  adequately qualified and has undergone the specified training at a recognized Institute".

PLACEMENT: We provide career opportunities in the Power Sector. CPDTI is maintaining close linkages with Indian Power Utilities and Multi-National companies such as GCC, ALSTOM, GE ELECTRIC, GDF SUEZ TRACTABLE etc. for employment of its trained Engineers. Most of the students are placed in reputed Power Sector Companies within India as well as abroad after the completion of the course.

For candidates sponsored by Power Tech, the total course fee is 10,000, payable in two installments: 5,000 as an advance and the remaining 5,000 after the classes commence.
